HOT TUBS – FAQs
AVAILABILITY
As of April 1, 2023 we should have plenty of inventory, please contact us for more details.
PRICING
We currently offer Plug N’Play hot tubs starting at $7000, Serenity hot tubs starting at $8500, and Self-Cleaning hot tubs starting at $11,500. Self-cleaning hot tubs vary greatly in pricing depending on their series (Gold or Platinum) and their features.
BASIC OPERATING COSTS
Just to leave it running 24/7 the hot tubs will cost $35 / month for a Serenity model and $10 / month for a Self-Cleaning model.
There are additional costs to heat the water which are a function of how cold the weather is & how often you use the hot tub. Typically, the heating costs are negligible so long as you leave the cover on but if you’re using it every night at -30°C for 2 hours, you should expect a significant increase in your hydro bill. I would say with average use, you’d be at less than $2 / session in the worst conditions. Disclaimer: I’m basing this on my personal observations having owned a hot tub for over 5 years, every household will vary.
Water care costs can be as low as $250 / year and up to $1000 / year if you’re using premium water care kits.
WARRANTY
You have 3 full years of parts and labour on any Hydropool model. The acrylic shell has a 5-year warranty and the structure or frame of the hot tub has a 10-year warranty. From experience, if anything major is going to go wrong, it will happen in the first few months such as a defective pump, heater, or computer.
With some exceptions, Hydropool parts are NOT proprietary. This means that in the future, you can source replacement parts from any retail location and you don’t have to buy from Hydropool.
When you need something done that is covered under warranty, you just message us and we’ll get it sorted for you.
WHICH IS THE BEST MODEL FOR YOU?
The best thing to do before spending time shopping models online is to schedule an appointment to see our showroom. Our JOB is to help you get into the best tub for YOU.
We know the pros & cons of each model and seeing the primary bathers in person can help us point you towards a specific model in minutes.
However, it’s not surprising that with the pandemic still ongoing that we’ve become quite good at helping folks choose a model over the phone or through video chat. We know the questions to ask to help you get into the right tub!
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU BUY?
After you reserve your hot tub you’ll need to book an electrician (~$1200) and build your pad ($200 – $1000). You’re now all set to have the hot tub installed. Some people might choose to build a deck before or after it arrives.
WE’VE GOT YOU COVERED all the way! Once you become part of our hot tub family, your welcome package will assist you in working with our trusted partners. You’ll also have direct access to your dedicated salesperson.
SWIM POOLS – F.A.Q.
AVAILABILITY
As of April 1, 2022, we have approximately 30 swimmers remaining for this year. They are arriving throughout the spring, summer, and fall.
PRICING
Starting at $26000 for an 12-foot family pool, $34000 for Sport model, and $42000 for a Trainer model. Pools can vary greatly in pricing depending on their series (Sport or Trainer) and their features. It’s easiest to request a phone call or a showroom tour to understand your options.
BASIC OPERATING COSTS
Just to leave it running 24/7 the swim spa will cost $35 / month. The filtration cycle is programmable.
There are additional costs to heat the water which are a function of how cold the weather is and how often you use it. Typically, the heating costs are negligible during summer months but if you turn it into a giant hot tub in the winter, you should expect $150 – $250 per month (well worth it though!)
Water care costs can be around $500 / year but there are many factors to consider.

From experience, if anything major is going to go wrong, it will happen in the first few months such as a defective pump, heater, or computer.

AQUA TRAINER vs AQUA SPORT
The best thing to do before spending time shopping models online is to schedule an appointment to see our showroom, however, there is one main thing to understand which is the difference between a TRAINER and a SPORT.
An AquaTrainer costs more than an AquaSport. Each model has two swim jets. The trainer has 2 x 5 horse power pumps (one under each jet). The sport has 1 x 5 horse power pump split between the swim jets.
The trainer has a digital current control with automatic valves to control the water flow, the sport does not.
The trainer is for more powerful, serious swimmers and intense kids (think knee boarding). The sport delivers a great smooth swim with a manual speed control valve but definitely not made for sprinters (shorter distance, higher speeds). Aside from that, the shape is the same and so are the massage seats.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU BUY A SWIM POOL?
We will provide you with a welcome package. This package will include manuals, direct access to our trusted partners to help move the project forward.
Usually, the very next thing you’ll want to do after purchasing is arrange a meeting with a concrete pad specialist to get that done as soon as possible (budget for $3000). Shortly after contacting the concrete specialist, contact one of our electricians to make sure you have what’s needed for a successful installation.
